Rick is a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse fan in which there is a shouted catch phrase used calling the magic tool helper: "Oh Toodles!". I suspect that every puddle on our path works its magic on our kids by having a similar cathy calling sign only they can hear.....
This particular episode took place when there was a dry spell on an otherwise rainy day, at a lunch with friends is a cosy restaurant in a park. Stopping them was not an option - it was even a challenge to get them undressed before they went in head first.
Kaat looks strict due to the dark mud eye brows but was giggling happily and helped the mud along to cover her whole body.
We still had to go back home in the rental car and had not quite counted on this. So we had to find a reasonably clean puddle to rinse off our mud caked kids and sacrificed Kaat's blankie to dry off.
It took some bribing with candy and iPad movies but we managed to get them into the car before they got dirty again....Well only till next time that was..."oh Puddles!"
