The 'Von Trips'

A few weeks ago we went for a long weekend to 'the Golden Triangle' in India - well part of it. As Eelco was stuck offshore, Nina, I and the kids had to make our way to Jaipur without him. Fortunately it turned out that Nina also is part Julie Andrews and so all was fine - 700 iterations of old McDonalds easily got us through all the waiting time anywhere.

Since Nina has left us, and the kids are not wearing the curtains so safe to say Nina only adopted the most useful part of 'Maria'. Since then Kaat has actually mastered 'Do-Re-Mi' in Von Trapp version completely.

Shiva Temple w Nina

Whilst I was at work Nina and Rick & Kaat also went to the Shiva temple, with my friend Catharina, and Anbu who by then had turned into a full fledged tour guide & body guard. Rick has been often enough that he could explain the ladies exactly what to do.

At the temple you buy for 100 rupees the attributes needed for 10 different offerings - each serves a different purpose. 

Also for those who do not travel much or easily - they have rebuild in a tunnel system miniature systems of all the main Hindu pilgrimages.

When Nina skyped with friends & family the kids sometimes took part in the conversation, nina also had some fabulous movies. including lots of princess movies on her laptop. The result is some very sweet selfless series of all kids with Nina.
