18 Months

Kaat passed the 18 month mark this week. Our little chatter box is doing fantastic. No idea if she checks out from a health perspective as we cannot get in for the required check up till early September but by the looks of it she is more then fine.
Kaat is happy, eats like a dock worker, loves her brother, knows what she wants and likes and talks lots (1 or 2 word phrases) and understands many many things very well.
Kaat can say everyone's name, uses words like home, ball, water, pillow, happie, doggie, no, yes yes, cuddle, sleep, frietjes, douche, bad, pool, op, af, klaar, finished, alligator and can name all the kids in her class and can tell you if we are close to the house or not, will tidy up her stuff when asked and dances enthusiastically in case of music. She also wants to do EVRYTHING that Rick does too and then some.
Kaatje by now licks her nutella or cheese from her sandwich and looses the rest, she gets in to the cupboard to get herself a 'cracker' or 'chippies' and does not wait to be served or get approval. She refuses to be fed and wants to eat herself now with utensils and is still capable of getting stupendously dirty.
Kaatje is also very charming, has a huge smile and her hair is finally coming in at a rapid pace.
Last night Rick had a poop in his diaper and refused to let me change it. He told me he had not done a poop. I said is it not yours then, cause I can see it!. I asked if it was Kaatjes Poop maybe. She said almost quicker then he could 'yes' that it was hers. Rick was after that ok for me to change hims since we had established it was not his poop - and Kaatje came to help.
