Last week the Indian government accepted a proposal to implement "visa on arrival" for people from a large group of countries, including the Netherlands, as well as an online, 'do it from home' application system. This would mean that provided you bring some cash and a long enough valid passport - you can get your visa when you land (like in Indonesia for instance).
The not so good news though, it will take 5-6 months to implement AND after that only a few cities in India will have it at first - the tourist hot spots - not Bangalore -:(
Pretty sure Bangalore will have a bog role to play as IT Central to get it to work, so hopefully that means we can be one of the first followers. So if you want to some visit us in 2015, there is a good chance you can do so without making a trip to the local embassy or consulate first.
