Not even 2 days at school and the kids already had sports day. All parents where invited for an event involving an obstacle course, some sprint relay race and a team water event. Rick claimed he was not ready and scared but at the same time was very happy to have me at school with him and completed all tasks with great, happy enthusiasm.

The kids had been practicing for weeks and had all selected partners long beforehand. The school manager was at first afraid Rick would maybe not be able to participate due to lack of practice but I was not concerned at all, which was confirmed when after a single practise yesterday Rick started to explain me the sprint start procedure. Fortunately there was a buddy left for him for the team challenge and the whole event was far removed from anything professional or too serious so no problem! Some kids did not like the big audience though and opted out because of that.

Unfortunately due to Indian time management, traffic and endless reams of paperwork we missed most of Kaat's sports day. She was not as much into participating anyway - not feeling all too well physically .
