Trick-or-Treat!

Yesterday it finally was really Halloween and we celebrated the event at the same place as last year with some friends in a very halloween oriented neighborhood. Our Hostess' sister had carved out some very high quality Pumpkins to decorate the front yard so we were in the right mood as soon as we arrived.

 Miss Octopussy also was delighted with her outfit and had already prepared the whole day by playing with Pumkins at school and chewing away at her tentacles.

 The levels of anticipation this year around for Horse Rick were enormous and he could barely wait to get out starting with the candy before we even made it out the door.

 So as soon as everyone was with a clean diaper hoisted into their outfits (again) we made it outside.

 By pure coincidence we had both a Horse and a cowboy.

 No explanation was needed and only occasional help from us if the knocking on doors was not loud enough, or if the words trick or treat were not audible through a star wars helmet or in case of scary dogs or other little boys dressed up as the scream character (which had Rick in shivers!). 'Next Door Mama', 'I walking', 'No Horsie!" (if someone called him Donkey assuming he was maybe Iejoor), 'Thank you', 'This one' (picking always the lollipops or bum bums) and 'Bye Bye' was all we heard Rick say for a good  45 Min.

If we would have let everyone give her any Kaat would have ended up with the biggest stash of candy. Instead she chewed on a some sweets still in the wrapper and we took pictures with her and all the lovely fall & halloween decoration.

 Somehow we got the feeling though that even Kaat had understood exactly what it was all about as she inspected her booty of the evening afterward

 With some socializing afterwards we lasted till close to 11 so as soon as we got into the car Rick's light went out....

 Thos morning - after we had lost quite some...-:) and after Rick ate a copious amount last night he was still left with close to 1/2 kg of candy!
